Taking the trike to work

I have recently acquired a trike, bike with three wheels. Already the first ride was extraordinary. Gliding serenely, in the early morning, through the green landscape, 10 inches above the ground. Butterflies wake up and absorb the first light from the morning sun with their wings and reflect a spectacular spectrum of orange, yellow and red.

Me, on my new trike, welcomed back by our dog, Zue.

When coming close to the city I see the town from a perspective that I have not experienced since I was two years. I travel most of the distance in separate bike lanes but in the crossings, when waiting for the green light I get acquainted with the exhaust pipes of the fellow vehicles. My nose analyse the emissions, vehicle by vehicle, some sulphur in the fumes of the car, probably from the ferry, some nitric oxide, probably a diesel with a particulate filter… and so it continues. The last few miles I travel through the harbour area to the Volvo bus office, situated right where the beautiful archipelago of Bohuslän begins.

After three journeys I now have the ambition to take the trike one a week.
